Midwestern State University partners with StatBroadcast for 2011-2012 Season
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS -- Midwestern State University and StatBroadcast Systems reached agreement today for StatBroadcast to provide its StatBroadcast Live and StatMonitr products for athletic events on the Midwestern State campus for the 2011-2012 school year. In addition to providing a web stats feed for media covering the school, StatBroadcast will provide a live broadcast of statistics to fans on the web, mobile devices and using the school's streaming media.
Midwestern State University is a public university located in Wichita Falls, Texas, with a enrollment of 6500 students. It is one of four independent public universities in Texas and the state's only public liberal arts college. The MSU Mustangs compete in NCAA Division II athletics as part of the Lone Star Conference and sponsors 12 varsity sports. MSU represents the second Division II school to partner with StatBroadcast, joining Abilene Christian University, also of the Lone Star Conference.
As part of its agreement, StatBroadcast will immediately begin providing its StatMonitr service to the university for all games it serves as host of the 2011 NCAA Division II softball tournament. MSU has been selected as a host of the South Central Regional and will host three other teams as part of the round robin opening rounds of the tournament beginning May 13.
