University of Pennsylvania to use StatBroadcast for live stats in 2016-17
PHILADELPHIA, PENN. --
The University of Pennsylvania will use the StatBroadcast Live platform to simulcast live statistics from its athletic events in 2016-17, StatBroadcast announced today.
University of Pennsylvania is a private, Ivy League university located in Philadelphia. A founding member of the Association of American Universities and one of the original nine colonial colleges, it was established in 1740. With an enrollment of over 25,000 students, Penn’s historic alumn includes 12 heads of state (including former president William Henry Harrison), three US Supreme Court justices and it has produced the most billionaires of any university at the undergraduate level. The Penn Quakers compete at the NCAA Division I level as members of the Ivy League and sponsor 27 varsity teams. Currently competing at the FBS level for football, the Penn football team won eighteen national championships while it was previously at the Division I-A level (now known as FBS) and it has won 17 Ivy League Football championships (most recently in 2015).
Penn joins Columbia from the Ivy League as StatBroadcast partners and is the sixth institution from the state of Pennsylvania.
