University of North Texas tabs StatBroadcast for live stats in 2014-15

DENTON, TEXAS -- The University of North Texas will use the StatBroadcast platform to provide live stats of its athletic events during the 2014-15 academic year via the web and mobile devices.

The University of North Texas is a public university located in Denton, a suburb of the DFW metroplex, and has a current enrollment of more than 35,000 students. The North Texas Mean Green compete at the NCAA Division-I FBS level as members of Conference-USA; the school sponsors 16 varsity athletic teams. The school adopted the mascot, Mean Green, in 1969 after alumnus Joe Greene began his professional football career with Pittsburgh. The Mean Green football team has won 24 conference titles, including four since moving to the D-I FBS level.

North Texas is the eighth Conference-USA member to adopt StatBroadcast and the 15th school from within the state of Texas.
